Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • At least three years’ experience in networking (TCP/IP, routing, QoS, VPN, rules) and voice communication (PBX).
  • Familiar with Cisco Switch/Router, Check Point Firewall, F5 Big IP LTM
  • Has the certifications aligned to network architecture: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of principles of IT systems, systems architecture, high level of PC skills.
  • High initiative, reliable and independent person, high attention to detail.
  • Very good level of English, able to communicate on daily basis with foreigners

Job Description

  • Designs, administers and optimizes company networks to achieve high performance, reliability and availability.
  • Performs technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all networks - LAN/Wireless/VLAN/WAN/VPN/Internet, including firewalls, data and voice at all levels of the OSI model, data centers, server rooms (e.g. PDC, DRC, energy supply, cooling, fire protection, security, racks, cabling)
  • Performs daily system and key processes monitoring, reviewing logs, and verifying completion of scheduled job
  • Ensures the LAN/Wireless/WAN infrastructure is capable to provide required services, provides capacity analysis as an input for proper planning.
  • Reports any deviation/problem/outage to superior and other units, provides regular reporting.
  • Ensures high level of security of IT infrastructure.
  • Ensures the compliance with license and other agreements.
  • Defines local standards, ensures the global standards are met.
  • Minimizes activities with a negative impact on operation; maintenance windows are always discussed with the affected departments.
  • Manages projects of implementation of the new systems, upgrades, maintenance fixes and patches in order to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintains operation documentation of architecture and settings.
  • Prepares written materials (e.g. procedures, reports, guidelines, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing guidelines and help for the users
  • Responds to inquiries from various sources (e.g. staff, administrators, outside vendors and service providers, etc.) for the purpose of providing technical assistance and support.
  • Solves user request and complaints, is part of Helpdesk processes, provides on-call support.
  • Cooperates with Group Network, Group Security department and other IT teams located in Czech Republic and other countries.
  • Cooperates on business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
